The average life span for a EnglishBulldog is around 8-9 years some may last longer and some may last a shorter time. Most bulldogs die from heart problems followed by cancer and other Illness'.
The American Bulldogs life span is around 10-15 years they don't suffer as much health problems or difficulties so there life lasts longer than English Bulldogs.
The French Bulldogs life span is 10-12 years they suffer from breathing difficulties because they have very small noses , they also suffer from spinal diseases and thats why they are referred to as dwarf dogs.

These are my two english bulldogs Bella and Harvey. Harvey on the left is the youngest he is 3 years old and Bella on the right is the oldest and she's 5 years old. Because harvey is a boy he has a bigger build and a larger frame and looks older. One problem English Bulldogs suffer from is cherry eye and its when a small lump appears on the eye that is a pinkish tone. Harvey suffered from this but got surgery as it was affecting his sight.

Aggressive or not??
A lot of people look at bulldogs and see them as aggressive or vicious but are they really? The answer isn't yes but the answer isn't no, every dog can be aggressive or vicious it doesn't need to depend on the breed the whole time. Bulldogs have a friendly calm nature and then have a very hyper jumper nature at times but it all depends on how the dog is brought up and trained.
Bulldogs are known to act well around children and become very attached to humans at time and will always want to be by there side - like a child nearly.

What do you think when you first see a bulldog? Vicious , scary fat?
I have decided to do my blog on bulldogs as I have two of my own and have a passion for them!
The typical bulldogs known are English bulldog , American bulldog and French bulldog. But there is 11 more types of bulldogs!
This is the most well known bulldog - The English Bulldog. When people think of bulldogs this image comes to there heads! Fat, sloppy tongue, wagging and small and lazy. Truly they are everything on that list but they show a lot of love and affection the same as any other dog.
Another type of bulldog that is well known is the French bulldog, It has a different look to the English bulldog but has similar features. There body is smaller and thinner than the English bulldog but there head is more square and they have more pointy ears. The two dogs builds are very similar in the way they walk and the way they stand but the French bulldog supports a smaller frame.
The American Bulldog is another well known bulldog breed. While they have some of the same features as the French Bulldog and the English bulldog there life span is a bit longer and they wear a stocky strong and broad body. There coat is the same as any bulldog, They have the same walk and stand as the two other popular bulldog breeds but they are a lot taller and muscular in person.
